Get started
Do I need an AI assistant?
No. You can log food, save usual meals, and check your totals directly in Stacking Gains. Connecting an assistant is optional.
Where do I start?
Sign in, enter the targets you have chosen, and record a meal. Check its portion and nutrition values before saving. Your food log and daily totals are shown together.
Does SG choose my macro targets?
You choose your targets. SG helps you keep a record and compare it with those numbers; it does not prescribe a diet or promise a health result.
Connect your AI
Choose your assistant to open its setup instructions: ChatGPT · Muse · Claude. Setup options depend on your assistant and account. See the guide for availability, sign-in, and permissions.
Which permissions should I choose?
Read lets the assistant retrieve supported diary, goal, preset, and summary information. Read and log also lets it add food and undo entries it created. Full control adds supported editing and plan-management actions; it is optional.
Approve only the access you need. Do not paste your password or a private access token into an assistant chat.
Does SG include an AI subscription?
No. Your assistant may require its own account or paid plan. Check its requirements before choosing an SG subscription.
Log food
How do I log with my assistant?
Tell your connected assistant what you ate and the amount. Include a label or a saved usual meal when you have one. Ask it to clarify anything uncertain, then check the resulting entry and date in SG.
Can I add food directly in SG?
Yes. Add a food entry, check the portion and macro values, then save it. A supported barcode lookup can help find a product; always check that it matches the label and amount you ate.
How do I correct a mistake?
Open the food log and edit the existing entry. If an assistant made the entry, you can also ask it to correct or undo it within its approved permissions. Check the result so the same meal is not logged twice.
Are AI estimates exact?
No. Food identification, portion estimates, and voice transcription can be wrong. Review them before saving. In-app AI estimation is separate from your connected assistant and requires its own sharing permission when available.
In-app AI estimation is currently paused. Manual logging remains available.
Presets & goals
Watch: log a usual meal without taking a photo. See a real preset log and learn when to adjust an entry.
How do I save a usual meal?
Check the ingredients, portions, and numbers, then save the meal as a preset with a name you recognize. Reuse it when you eat that meal, adjusting any changed portions.
Can I change my targets?
Yes. Update your targets in the app to match the plan you have chosen. Logging a meal records what you ate; it should not silently change your goals.
Where do I see previous days?
Use the Log view to review past entries and totals. Missing entries can make a day incomplete, so check the food record before drawing conclusions from the numbers.
Account & billing
How do I reset my password?
Use the password-reset option on the sign-in screen and follow the email link. Check your spam folder if the email does not arrive.
Where can I see the price and trial?
Where a subscription is offered, the app and Apple purchase sheet show the plan, local price, billing period, and any eligible trial before you confirm. Your assistant’s own subscription is separate. See the subscription terms.
What if I joined before paid plans?
The existing promise to accounts created before paid plans is preserved: keep the existing app features free for good, including a monthly AI allowance. A new paid offer does not remove that commitment.
In-app AI estimation is currently paused. Your account’s eligibility and allowance still apply.
How do I restore a purchase?
If you purchased a subscription, use the Apple Account associated with it, sign in to the appropriate SG account, and use Restore Purchases where available in the app. Check your Apple purchase history if access is still missing; do not purchase again to restore an existing subscription.
How do I cancel renewal?
Manage or cancel through Apple subscriptions. Deleting your SG account, uninstalling the app, or disconnecting an assistant does not cancel the subscription. Follow the cancellation timing shown for your offer.
How do I request a refund?
For an App Store purchase, use Apple’s refund request service. Refunds are subject to Apple’s process and applicable law.
Privacy & access
How do I disconnect an assistant?
Open SG’s connection settings, where available, select the connection, and disconnect it. Changing permissions may require reconnecting. Disconnecting stops future access under that authorization; it does not erase your diary, cancel a subscription, or retrieve data already received by the assistant provider.
How do I delete my SG account?
Open Settings → Delete Account, read the notice, and confirm. Successful deletion removes account-owned records from the active app database. This cannot be undone through the app.
Support correspondence, backups, and billing-provider records may require separate handling. Contact support for help, and see our retention and deletion information. Cancel any Apple subscription separately.
How do I request my data?
Contact support to request access, export, correction, or deletion assistance. We may need to verify account ownership. For data already shared with an assistant, use that provider’s privacy controls too.
How do I change in-app AI sharing?
Where estimation is available, SG asks permission before sending the selected input to Anthropic. Reset future requests under Settings → AI sharing. This does not retrieve information already sent. See AI data handling.
How do I report a security issue?
Contact support with a description and approximate time. Do not include passwords, tokens, or someone else’s records. Crop unnecessary personal information from screenshots.
