Track your macros.
Skip the food photos.

Eat the same breakfast most mornings? Save it as a preset, tap it into your log, and get on with your day.

Stacking Gains is a calorie and macro tracker for iPhone. You can log manually, reuse saved meals, and review calories, protein, carbs and fat together. You do not need a photo or a connected AI assistant to use a preset.

One usual breakfast.
One saved preset.

This is a real screen recording of Joe logging his saved breakfast: egg whites, an egg, toast and jam.

  1. Open Add Food. Tap the green plus button on Today.
  2. Choose your saved meal. In the Quick tab, tap the preset you ate.
  3. Check the result. Close Add Food and check that the meal and daily totals updated.

This example starts with a preset already saved. The nutrition values and daily targets shown belong to Joe’s example; they are not suggested targets for you.

Saved breakfast → food log → updated totals. Silent video; the steps beside it describe the full action.

Start with a meal you already eat.

Save a usual meal as a preset with its portion and nutrition values. Give it a name you will recognize later. Check the information against the label or recipe you used before reusing it.

Keep the first one simple: your usual breakfast, a packed lunch, or a snack. You do not need to set up a whole week before logging today.

Different portion? Different entry.

A preset is a shortcut to saved values. It does not know you used a different amount of food. If the ingredients or portion changed, edit the entry to match what you ate. Check the date and meal so you do not record it twice.

If you do not have a preset, you can add the meal manually. A photo is optional.

Want to tell your AI instead?

A compatible connected assistant is another way to add food to SG. Describe the meal and amounts, clarify any assumptions, then check the saved entry in your food log.

Assistant connections require SG Pro or an eligible account, and your assistant may have separate plan requirements. Setup options vary. Read the connection guide for Muse, ChatGPT and Claude before subscribing specifically for a connection.

Make tomorrow’s log easier.

Keep a few usual meals ready. Look over your entries and daily totals when it is useful to you. If a day is incomplete, recognize the gap and keep going with the next meal. The point is a food history you can use, built one entry at a time.

What is free?

Manual logging, saved presets, daily totals, food history and daily targets are included in SG’s free features. SG Pro adds features including compatible assistant connections. Downloading SG does not include a subscription to another AI service.

Check the current offer and any trial eligibility in the app before subscribing. Account and subscription questions.
