STACKING GAINS + YOUR AI

Connect your AI.

Choose your assistant to see how to connect your own Stacking Gains account.

These instructions are free. Using a connection requires SG Pro or an existing eligible account. Your assistant’s subscription is separate. New subscriptions may not yet be available for every account during launch testing.

Before you start

Have Stacking Gains installed and signed in to the account you want to connect. You will also need an account with your chosen assistant.

These are custom-connection instructions. Public directory install links are not available here yet. Your assistant controls which setup options your account can use; read its requirements below before subscribing specifically for a connection.

Muse

Custom setup, with SG sign-in

  1. Open Muse on the web. Open the Settings menu, choose Settings, then Connectors to check your connections.
  2. If Stacking Gains is not available there, ask Muse:
Help me add Stacking Gains as a custom MCP connection using this server address, with OAuth sign-in: https://stacking-gains-production.up.railway.app/api/mcp

Use Muse’s connector setup flow or connection link. This message contains only a public address, never a token.
    • Server addresshttps://stacking-gains-production.up.railway.app/api/mcp

  3. When SG opens, sign in to the same account as your phone, review the permissions, then approve. Return to Muse and ask it to read today’s goals.

Muse’s custom setup and mobile controls can vary. If it does not offer an SG sign-in flow, use API-token setup only if it provides a private credential field, or contact us. Do not send your password or token in chat.

Claude

Custom connector on an eligible Claude plan

  1. On Claude web, open Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Stacking Gains and paste the server address below. Continue, choose sign-in authentication, and use Register automatically if asked how to register the OAuth client. Finish adding the connector.
    • Server addresshttps://stacking-gains-production.up.railway.app/api/mcp

  3. Connect and sign in to SG. Review access, approve, then enable the connector from the conversation’s + → Connectors menu.

Team or Enterprise accounts may need an owner to add it first. Claude’s current setup instructions.

ChatGPT

Start in your phone’s browser

Custom setup starts on the ChatGPT website. We have not yet verified the full first-time setup on an iPhone. The ChatGPT mobile app may not offer the controls below, and availability depends on your ChatGPT account and workspace.

  1. Check that custom connections are available.

Open ChatGPT Plugins in a new browser tab and sign in. On iPhone, use Safari. Look for Add (+) → Add custom MCP server.

If that option is missing, stop here. Your ChatGPT setup does not currently expose the option this guide needs. Do not buy SG Pro to try to unlock it. Contact SG support and tell us which step is missing. Never include your password or token.

  2. Add Stacking Gains.

Name the connection Stacking Gains. For the description, enter Read my food log and goals in Stacking Gains. Copy this public address and paste it into the server URL field under Connection.

    Server address — not a passwordhttps://stacking-gains-production.up.railway.app/api/mcp

Choose OAuth for authentication. This means you sign in to SG and approve access; you do not need to create an API token.

  3. Create and connect the plugin.

Review ChatGPT’s notice, acknowledge it if you want to continue, and select Create as a plugin. Review the tools, then install the resulting plugin if prompted. Select Connect when offered. SG will open its sign-in page; it may appear during setup.

  4. Confirm your SG account.

Keep the browser tab open. On SG’s sign-in page, choose Open Stacking Gains to confirm using the app you are already signed into. Check that the account is yours and the number matches the browser, then confirm sign-in. Return to that same browser tab.

If you normally use Sign in with Apple in SG, use this app-confirmation option. Your Apple password is not an SG password. If the wrong SG account appears, stop and switch accounts in SG before restarting.

  5. Choose what ChatGPT can do.

Review the permissions offered. Choose Read only to review your food log, or Read & log if you also want to add meals. Only choose Full control if offered and you want the additional editing permissions. Approve the connection when you are ready. Using the connection requires eligible SG access.

  6. Check your own data.

Return to ChatGPT, start a new conversation, and select Stacking Gains using @ or the plugin picker. Ask: “Read my goals for today.” Compare the answer with your SG app. An installation message alone does not confirm that your account is connected.

If ChatGPT mentions a demo, test account, or synthetic data: setup is not complete for your account. Do not log meals through that connection. Check the selected plugin and account, or contact SG support with the message and the step you reached.

If sign-in expires: restart Connect in ChatGPT and approve only the new request you started. Keep the original browser tab open while switching to SG.

Server address

This is public. It is not a password or API token.

https://stacking-gains-production.up.railway.app/api/mcp

Check that it worked

Ask: “Read my goals for today.” Compare the answer with SG. With Read & log access, ask it to log a meal, then check the entry and date in SG before retrying. If it cannot confirm a save, do not assume the meal was logged.

Advanced: API-token setup

Use this only for tools with a private API-key or secret field. Custom OAuth connectors above do not need an API token.

  1. In SG, open Settings → Connections → Advanced integrations → Create or manage API tokens. Name the connection, choose permissions, and generate a token. New tokens require SG Pro.
  2. Copy it into your password manager. The full token is shown once; you can revoke it later.
  3. In your tool’s secure connector settings, enter the server address below and choose bearer-token authentication. Put the token in its private credential field. Never paste it into a conversation.
    • Server addresshttps://stacking-gains-production.up.railway.app/api/mcp

To change a token’s permissions, generate a replacement, update your tool, then revoke the old token. Tokens appear under Advanced API tokens, not Linked assistants.

Choose your permissions

Read only
Read food history, goals, saved meals, and modes.
Read & log
Also add food and undo entries created by that connection.
Full control
Also edit entries, goals, saved meals, and modes. Only choose this when you want those changes. Your assistant must request and support the permission.

These permissions never include account or billing management.

Disconnect or troubleshoot

For SG sign-in connections, open Settings → Connections → Linked assistants. For API tokens, open Advanced integrations → Create or manage API tokens and revoke the token. Revocation remains available without Pro.

Cancelling a subscription stops renewal. Eligible paid access continues until its verified end date; afterward, paid actions from existing connections are blocked. Your food history remains. Disconnecting an assistant does not cancel your subscription or retrieve data already shared.

If SG cannot verify access, retry rather than buy again. If you see the wrong goals or history, check that both apps are using the same SG account. For subscription help, visit billing support.
